4th of July Getaway

Ben and I decided to get away for the weekend since our town gets a little out of hand for the 4th of July. So it was off to Palm Springs to stay at the beautiful Viceroy hotel. I went on a little mini shopping spree and bought most of these clothes at Nordstrom in their Brass Plum dept. Definitely one of my favorite places to shop for pretty cheap basics.

(dress- BP, wedges- Chanel, tote- Goyard, glasses- Ray Ban)

(tank- JCrew, skirt- BP, shoes- Christian Louboutin, hat- Meilsa)

(skirt and tank- BP, shoes- Chanel, tote- Celine)

(onsie- vintage, shoes- Harajuku Lovers)

So I'm obviously obsessed with my new hat. I thought that it would be the perfect Palm Springs accessory! There's this awesome little hat store over at the Lab in Costa Mesa called Arth. They have some seriously great hats for guys and girls.
Anyway- just wanted to show you my poolside wardrobe lineup. The weather was beautiful if not a little too hot. The hotel was a perfect getaway and I recommend it to any of you who love to relax and have a great laid back vibe around you. We met some really cool people from LA and everyone was super friendly and sweet. We can't wait to go back!

New Harajuku Lovers Shoes!

The lovely ladies at heels.com have some tasty new treats for your feets!

They have a great selection of shoes and the cutest thing is their little videos! You can see how the shoe actually looks on your feet- like this! Great, right? Sometimes a shoe is cuter... or not so cute, once you see it on. I love this feature! Who needs to leave the house these days? ;)

Anyway- check that out and check out these new shoes available at heels.com

Better Late Than Never...

So I feel like a bit of a douche because I am SO late on this. I'm supposed to be your "insider" and I totally forgot to write about this! Shame on me.

Anyway, some of you may have heard that the company I work for, Titan Industries, is re-launching the Charles Jourdan brand. We launched the shoes this last show to a pretty good response, though honestly- not what we hoped for. There are some REALLY great shoes but overall it wasn't what the launch should have been.
Luckily though, they've taken action already and hired a new designer! Now THAT my friends, is inside information ;)

The ads look great though, right!? I love them and think they did a great job! Jourdan was famous for their sexy racy ads and the one below, the Footwear News cover, is so 80's h-o-t!

These are 2 of my favorite shoes from the collection. They won't be available in stores until next year but luck me... I got my hands on um! Bwa-ha ha ha!!

Wanted: Honest Opinion Please

So I bought these Prada shoes at Barneys when I was in NY a couple of weeks ago and I'm torn... which usually means I should return them, but I'm just not sure. I want to know what you guys think? Do you like them? Should I maybe just exchange them for the black version?

I dunno... I just don't have anything like them and I don't have any bone colored shoes. Hmmm. Help please.

I've really been loving Prada lately by the way. Isn't it funny how one season someone just kicks ass and you're like- woah, where did you come from!?

I got these babies on sale at Nordstrom and I seriously love them. The raw snake bows are the perfect mix of cute and exotic. I felt a little silly buying them since I already have THESE that are on the same bottom... but they're really completely different.

Harajuku Lovers brand's First Retail Store!

So I'm back and I have a bunch of stuff to blog about but I want to start with this! They just opened a Harajuku Lovers store in Taiwan and it is seriously cute. They carry the clothing line, the handbags, the fragrance line and of course... the shoes! Check it out.

Whoever did the store layout did an amazing job. It's like stepping into a giant HL perfume box or something. So cute. All the little details are like perfect little touches. And how cute it the staff?
I wonder if any more of these retail stores will pop up anywhere else? I'm sure Japan would be a logical place for one... There are like 15 Kitson boutiques in LA, I'm sure they could lend them one of those as a HL boutique. ha.

Well, I wish them luck!

China to Shoe Girl: "We No Like You!"...

Hello readers! I am sending this message through my wonderfully helpful and super sexy husband since I can not log in myself.

Yes, it seems that the iron fist of China has finally delivered the killing blow. They have blocked my blog. :(

I'm not sure what they think it is I'm writing about... maybe they don't like the idea of their people being up on the latest shoe trends? Maybe they invision riots on the streets of Guanzhou. Women everywhere fighting over the last pair of YSL trib too boots on sale? Mass chaos and confusion over deciding if a shoe is the original, or just another perfectly executed knock off by the clever team at Steve Madden.

Well, whatever it is, I'm sorry to say that I won't be blogging for the rest of the week. But fear not- I will be home next Monday and promise to deliver with some new posts.

Thanks for your patience and I miss you all.

xoxo
