In the afternoon I met Amanda at her work, where she made me an espresso macchiato while I waited for her. Then we got some sushi at a place on Commercial I'd never been to before but which was super cheap and delicious. We headed back to her place, where Jeff Downer had freshly baked oatmeal cookies to greet us with, and put on a pot of tea. When I came home, Sarah and Onur were gutting pumpkins. Onur had never carved a pumpkin and he tasted the guts — Sarah laughed and said she'd never seen anyone eat raw pumpkin before.

Clothes swap at Selena's! I had just gotten rid of a bunch of stuff at the thrift store a few weeks prior, but I still managed to bring two grocery bags worth of things. I came home with only one bag containing a skirt, a few tank tops, a CASHMERE SWEATER, a shawl/cape thing (which Selena told me used to be a skirt but the waistband died) and a blouse.

My dad and Sharon came over and we sat in the kitchen talking over wine and cheese while Sarah and Jesse got ready for the steampunk ball.
