Where Am I?

If you saw the latest runway shows in Paris last week you might think we'd time warped into the 70s. Chunky heels and platforms, funky shapes and colors, and clashes of pattens all over! Burn your bras and drop some acid. Well, no, don't do that.

But do check out these styles from Miu Miu...

And Louis Vuitton...

And Prada of course

What do you think?? Groovy? I'm personally not digging them. I prefer the silhouettes shown last season with nods to the 50's and 60's. More feminine delicate shapes.
Though I will say that I'm glad to see more platforms on the runway again. New York fashion week would have you believe that the platform was dead with all the non-platformed shoes and pointy toe pumps. If you can get a little comfort snuck in with your killer style I'll take it! And we all know a platform is great for adding height without sacrificing comfort.

I'm off to China today kids. Then Tokyo for a quick 2 days. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures and let you know what I see in one of my favorite cities in the world!

London Calling!

I knew it!!! Some great shoes are already coming out of London Fashion Week :)

My homies at Burberry (I use the term homie loosely, it's a one sided friendship) showed some pretty awesome tribal inspired shoes

What a great color palette!

These remind me of something though.........
 ...Just sayin.

I love how the striped jacket is interpreted in this wedge...

What a great woven shoe! So much work and such rich earthy tones. I love.

Looks like Charlotte Olympia worked with Matthew Williamson on some pretty great shoes. I LOVE the mixes of material and the colored lucite heels.

They look a little heavy and more like Fall than Spring, but they're great nonetheless.

Excited for what's to come!!

L.A.M.B. Runway Presentation

L.A.M.B.'s runway presentation was on Sunday and though Gwen was missing (she's finishing up recording with No Doubt on a super tight deadline) her presence was everywhere. Gwen has this way of weaving herself into every fabric, every stitch of her clothing and shoe lines. There wasn't a piece on display that I couldn't see Gwen wearing herself.
She called this collection her "dream closet". Lots of black and white with pops of bright colors... here are just a few of my favorites.

 Obsessed with this jacket!

These are the shoes I wore to the show. I love that bright pop of cobalt blue to set off the black and white outfit. I guess Gwen and I think alike ;)

This firey leopard print is so cool.

I don't have my camera in NY with me so excuse the photo but this is what I wore.

(shorts- RVCA, top- T by Alexander Wang, blazer- Kimchi Blue, shoes- L.A.M.B.)

I was surprised at how on trend my outfit was with the show. I felt very cool, which doesn't happen often. haha

Love you guys!

IFB Conference!

Hello out there! Is anyone still listening? I don't blame you if you're not. I know i've been terrible at keeping up to date on my blog but I have to be honest when I say that I just haven't had it in me. This life change is way harder than I thought it could be and I just haven't found the energy to blog about shoes.

That being said, I am now in New York and it's the day before the IFB Conference and I'm keeping my little blogger fingers crossed that this event will be the kick in the ass I need to get me back in the blogging mood!  I mean, if this doesn't do the trick I don't know what will.

I've missed the last few IFB Conferences due to timing so I'm excited to be there in person to check it out. For those of you who aren't able to make it I will be live streaming the event right here on my blog... You should definitely tune in. At least check in and see what it's about!

Watch live streaming video from ifbconference at livestream.com

All my love and warmest wishes!

Bebe Fall 2011 Runway Show

I don't really do runway coverage since I figure you guys can go to one of the big blogs for that... UNLESS it's a show that I designed the shoes for! Like this one :)

These runway shoes are part of my first collection for bebe. They picked this pointy toe pump in lots of bright colors. Cobalt, Red, Fuchsia, Yellow and Black- all with silver metal heels and toe caps.

It's hard to tell from the photos but the pumps are cut super low on the inside... SO sexy! What do you think about pointy silhouettes making a big comeback??

This dress is so cool...

I love how feminine and flirty the bebe collection looks. With that perfect edge of rocker chic. I'm excited to be working with them and am loving their direction!

The boot below is my favorite shoe in the whole collection! I wish there were better photos of the shoes :( I'll try to get some asap...
