A party at Laryssa & Amanda's while Jeff Downer was visiting from Boston. I had to leave around 11:30, before things got busy, but with other people's parties, I don't usually like to be around a huge amount of people anyways. It was nice sitting around talking and drinking beer & wine earlier in the evening.

Cece L'amour Shoes, Finally in Stores!!
It feels like it's been forever but I'm happy to announce that my first collection for Cece L'amour will be available at the end of this month!! YAY! The first few places to carry them will be Heels.com, Zappos.com and Amazon.com (so honored to have your support!!!)
Here are the styles that you'll be able to purchase...
It's so awesome that the shoe names that made the cut are some of my favorite people in the whole world. My 3 very best friends, Katie (my sister) Christie and Leah are up there and that makes me so happy! Heidi was one of my bridesmaids and someone that people would often mistake for my twin. Tanisha worked with me at Titan for forever and was always so supportive. She's someone I can always talk to about anything. And Juls is one of my favorite friends to go out with! We always have an amazing time and I can ALWAYS count on her to cut the bullshit and be real with me.
So now you know the personalities behind the shoes. I hope you like them and will help spread the word :) I'd love to be able to continue making fun, girly shoes for you forever and ever and I hope to get better and better at making shoes people like.
THANK YOU to everyone reading this for your continued support. I feel so lucky to have so many awesome friends... I truly consider my readers to be my friends.

31 December 11
Final self-portrait of the year. We had a smallish party at the house, about 15 people. We had plenty of food and liquor and played Cards Against Humanity and laughed ourselves silly. Personally, I think that's a much better way to ring in the new year than in a hot, crowded bar full of people you don't know where you're paying $8 for every drink.

God Save My Souls Trailer
I can't wait to check this out!
“God Save My Shoes” is the first documentary film to explore the intimate relationship women have with their shoes.
To understand how shoes have come to hold such a pivotal place in pop culture, sexuality and women’s lives, God Save my Shoes turned to many of those who play a role in the global shoe phenomenon: Extreme shoe lovers, fashion historians and editors, psychologists, sex experts, shoe fetishists, and star designers Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, Walter Steiger, Pierre Hardy, Bruno Frisoni, and Robert Clergerie, along with celebrities such as Fergie, Kelly Rowland and Dita Von Teese.
HOW did they make this film without me?? ;)

New Shoes from New York Fashion Week
London Fashion week is in full swing but it's quiet here in New York. In the aftermath of NYFW a few shoes are still on my mind. Some good, some not so good. Here are my highlights....
Winner!

No Thank you.
Hmmmm, not so much.
And although Elle.com called this python, it's actually fish skin.
Fish looks so cool! I've always loved it. It's kinda like an exaggerated cartoon version of snake skin.
This silhouette is something we see from a few different brands, though Marc Jacob's version is my favorite. Vintage inspired with a perfect feminine tapered heel. Cute!
The pointy toe is back people!
I'm really excited to see the London Milan and Paris shows and hope that there will be some more excitement there. I'm not totally crazy about many shoes so far. I'm seeing a lot of '90s looking blocky heels (like Phillip Lim's) and a return to single soles (shoes without platforms). Also, the strappy sandal is back in a big way- which I'm not fond of since they tend to dig into your feet. Here's a couple examples of the kind of sandal I mean. Those straight across teeny tiny straps...
What are your favorites!?
I'm going home tomorrow. I shortened my trip by a week cause I'm totally home sick. What a baby, huh? I think I accomplished my goal here in New York... I'm officially re-inspired :)
Love and big fat kisses,
Winner!

These crazy ass shoes, shown by Vera Wang and accented by crazy toes McGee on the left, are my favorite so far.
You guys know I LOVE my tranny hooker shoes and if these aren't... I don't know what is. Proof? Beyonce was wearing a pair in the front row. Girl knows her T.H. shoes.Another shoe to love are these amazing wedges by Derek Lam. Love.
While on the subject of wedges, I love this DKNY wedge! Feminine AND sexy. I love the abstract floral pattern
These heels by Rodarte are pretty great. They remind me of Star Wars...
C3P0 and R2D2?!
Also, loving this heel cup thing going on. Very futuristic.

There are some definite trends I'm noticing, including a lot of clear vinyl being used...
These are adorable, especially with the neon sock!
(Oscar de la Renta)
These look kinda painful. Ouch.
(Carolina Herrera)
No Thank you.
(Marc Jacobs Collection)
Hmmmm, not so much.
(Phllip Lim)
