I'm in the airport lounge right now, waiting for my flight so I don't have time for a REAL post- but I want to tell you guys about an exciting new partnership for my company... we're going to be working with UES. You guys have to check them out- it's like, the only way you'll get me into a sneaker besides plain ol Chucks or some sweet Dunks.

I'm Alive and Well.

Thank you guys for your concern. You're all so sweet. 

Everything turned out OK for now and our "people" tell us not to worry. They're going to negotiate or something. 

It was pretty scary for a second but by the end of the day people were joking about it and saying stuff like "Give them the blondes!" and "Tell them the boss's daughter is staying in room 1041 at the Hyatt."

I mean, you gotta laugh, right?

On a sad note, my iPod died unexpectedly and I can't figure out why. I tried to reset it but it's just totally flatlined. It is in between my legs at the moment. I'm not sure why but I thought that maybe if I warmed it up a bit and gave it a peep show it may wake up. 

That is of course assuming it is male... or a lesbian. 

Also, my legs have become an all you can eat buffet for Chinese mosquitos. Awesome. I heart China.

Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Office...

So I have to tell you this because it's straight out of a movie and at least if I make light of it, I can maybe feel a little less scared about the whole situation.

So I guess there was a dispute amongst a few shoe factories that we work with and somehow there was a miscommunication or something and someone thought we owed them money while we thought we payed it... anyway- we get to the office this morning and a few hours later there's a big commotion and a big group of tough looking Chinese dudes with shaved heads show up.

Apparently we were visited by the mafia this morning. NO JOKE. So my dad (the owner of our company) and the Taiwanese guy that runs our Chinese office had a little sit down with them.

Um ya. 

So they've been down there all morning and Joanne (my American co-worker) and I are stuck up here scared shitless. I mean, seriously.

The police just showed up about 20 minutes ago. Apparently the police and the mafia do negotiations? 

...Just another day in China I guess.

And PS- when I google search "Chinese Mafia" for images, my internet shuts down. Veeeeerrrry fishy. So sorry for the crappy image.

IM IN CHINA!!!

Sorry for the lack of posts- I've been getting ready for/on my way to China. It's my first day in the office so I have internet access. I'll be posting a real post soon, I promise. ;) I have some pretty exciting news!

For now... here's my beautiful office view. My friend Jolie says it looks like Irvine. HAHAHAHA

It's Britney Bitch.

So I was going to wait until I had pics of the show to post... but that's taking too long. So until my friend emails me the pictures here are some from my blackberry. They're pretty crappy, but you get the point. 

We got VIP passes (THAKS JOE!!!) so we were close enough to check Brit Brit for new STDs.

It was a Britney concert so I figured... what better time to wear a tutu!  I paired it with a zip up bodysuit and some sexy leggings and of course, some killer heels.

By the end of the night my poor feet were blistered and hurt SO bad- but the alcohol helped and honestly, it was worth it. I mean, it's not like I could have worn flats.... right?

These are for sure one of my top 5 favorite shoes I own right now. I should do that... make a list of my favorites. That would be pretty hard though. Sorry I'm babbling. 

ANYWAY.

Tonight is the Britney concert!! Yippee. I think I'll need to wear more comfortable shoes though, cause as hot as they are, they are suuuuper high and- I hate admitting this- hard to walk in.

Lots of things going on this week! We're seeing the first prototypes for Charles Jourdan at Titan which is so exciting. My friend Juls and I are totally going to see Britney in LA, plus I have my Harajuku approval meeting with Gwen at the end of the week!

Lost In Puppy Land... Then Found Again

This is my excuse for being away for the last WEEK (ahhhh!)... Look at that face and I dare you to be mad at me. ;)

UGGG! She's so cute. But any of you who own or have owned puppies know that they are total time suckers. Especially when they're this teeny and scrumptious de-loosh! 

I went to the Louboutin boutique today (shocker, I know!) and was telling my friend/favorite salesman Patrick that I am sometimes tempted to drop Stella in the oven and cook her up. 

Que cricket noise.

Obviously I was kidding... mostly. But by the silence and pained wince I got from Patrick, I guess that wasn't funny.

So this is what I wore today. Guess how many times people asked me if I forgot my whip at home. Well, I'll tell you. 3. Not that funny guys. They're more Edward Scissorhands than dominatrix IMO.

I do feel like I have to pick and choose when I wear these babies. They are definitely not an everyday thing, right.

I need your help...

The newest addition to our family needs a name. She's SO cute, right??? Our boy is named Banksy (like the graffiti artist) and our Chinchilla is Fafi (also graffiti artist) so there's obviously a theme, but it doesn't need to stay on that theme ;)

Any suggestions. Something cool and cute...

I've named her Stella and she likes to hang out in my cleav.
Apparently her and Ben have some stuff in common. ;)

Stella is also the puppy on Fifi Lapin. So it's extra cute.

Anyway, she just moved to an awesome new salon in the Newport-Mesa area called Desa Salon. Need another adjective? Superb.

Betsey Johnson for Opening Ceremony!

So I was browsing my favorite blogs and saw a post by Kristin over at BleachBlack that reminded me that I never talked about Betsey Johnson's collaboration with Opening Ceremony! We recently had a design meeting and all got super excited about the crazy throwback collection's images and it just totally slipped my mind to write about it. DUH...

Anyway, fashion collaborations seem to be all over the place right now.
"Come on mom! Everyone's doing it!"

Betsey has teamed up with Opening Ceremony's Humberto Leon and Carol Lim for a 35-piece capsule collection called "Betsey Johnson Archive". The pieces have been pulled from her past collections and been updated with new fabrics, patterns, etc, for current trends.

Above are some of the most talked about looks, including the gorilla arm jacket that is definitely a conversation piece if nothing else. The rest of the collection hits Opening Ceremony and select Betsey Johnson stores this fall.

And if you didn't already believe that everything old becomes new again, Betsey has also launched a line called Vintage Betsey. Here's what Betsey Johnson had to say about it-

"After the 30 year retrospective at my last show, I realized how much I love all the old Betsey get-ups and the original "Betsey girl" style. I have been going through my archives and looking at everything I've done. The result has been total inspiration! I've fallen in love with my early work and just having it around me has brought in a flood of new ideas and crazy concepts.

Date Night...

I was feeling a little saucy (and according to some judging eyes at the restaurant we went to, maybe a bit slutty) and decided to try out wearing my Cuban heel stockings in public. They're usually seen indoors if you know what I mean ;) 

I always see girls in heels and pencil skirts and imagine that black line perfecting the look.

I definitely don't think I'll make them a regular thing but it sure made Ben happy and it's always fun to try something new.

Carrie Bradshaw and friends have a summer date. A summer release date.

The Sex and the City big-screen sequel will hit theaters May 28, 2010, the box-office tracking firm Exhibitor Relations noted Wednesday.
The prime Memorial Day weekend slot positions Sex and the City 2 not only as a summer blockbuster, but as counterprogramming to the big-budget adventure Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, also set for May 28, 2010.
The romantic-comedy franchise at least has the blockbuster part down: Last year's first Sex and the City movie, bringing a wide-angle lens to the 1998-2004 HBO series, grossed $415 million worldwide off a $65 million budget.

As reported in February by E! News' Marc Malkin, all four Sex stars—Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon—are set and signed for the sequel, as is writer-director Michael Patrick King.
