Rock the Vote!

No, I'm not late on the presidential elections... I'm talking about something much more important to the state of our nation! The Best Fashion Blog Award!!

No, I'm not on the ballot (yet- muahaha!) but Go HERE and vote for my friend Wendy Brandes please. (by friend I mean we hang out on the weekends and go shopping and stay on the phone gossiping late at night... in my head)

HAHA! But seriously- check out her blog and you'll see. She's got my brand of sass kids, and I love it.

Beauty is Pain...

I LOVE these Balenciaga boots. LOVE. My husband on the other hand, hates them. He says they're a little too "urban" for my style. I think he's confusing them with the Manolo version Jennifer Lopez wore back in her Jenny from the block days?

True, I may not love them as much if they weren't Balenciaga (hey- at least I'm being honest. Shallow, but honest.) but they are and I do. Anyway, I got them over a year ago and have worn them a total of 3 times. I hate to make them feel unappreciated.

They are however, super uncomfortable. They are probably a full size too small because they pinch my toes and are threatening to cut off my ankles via my achilles tendon. Ya.

I'm considering it my punishment for missing out on those Stella's. *frickin idiot!*

On a side note- I do apologize for the messy condition our house is in. If I were you I'd be annoyed. Those boxes need to be put in storage asap!

Annoyed

You know when you kind of like something, but you don't buy it because you're like... "well- I don't LOVE it so do I really NEED it?" and then when you decide you do in fact love it, it's too late?

Well guess what- that's what just happened and I'm very annoyed with myself.

These Stella McCartney wedges, though old news, are amazing and I should have realized that I loved them much sooner. Now, it's too late. I looked all over the internet for them to no avail. Boo hoo hoo. Well, I did find them at barneys.com, but only in a size 10, as you can see.

Which, in my opinion, is worse than finding it in my size. And you know what really sucks... I totally tried them on in Hong Kong- ON SALE- and I still was unsure. When and WHY did I decide to love them? "Fate is not an eagle, it creeps like a rat."

I will now proceed to stomp around the house pouting and lashing out at inanimate objects all day.

If you or someone you know wants to sell their 8.5 s... you know where to find me.

Lip Service...

OK! So, ever since Miss Wendy B posted about the Lancome Piha Black lip gloss, I've been smitten. Much to my surprise, and after asking 20 + mildly retarded sales girls about it with the same response... "Uhhhh, I never heard of a blaaaack lip gloss?"
(Jeeze ladies- have pride in your job please!)
I asked girl #21 today and she said "Oh! Yea, we just got it in yesterday!"

YIPPEE!

So- I tested it out at the counter and I looked like a hot goth mess, but I bought it anyway so I could take it home and test that shit out!

So first I tried it with the color from the ad campaign. The lady at the counter said it's meant to go on top of colors to make them darker and sexier. Well duh. Most people can't pull off black lips.

So heres the "Piha Black" gloss over Lancome's "Rock Icon Fuchsia"
(alone)

(and now with the gloss)

Can you tell? This MacBook camera blows for details. Ugh.

Anyway, then I decided to try it out on my Nars "Heat Wave" lip stick

(and now with the gloss)

So? What's the verdict? I love it, but it's really hard to see how pretty the color is with this crappy camera. Maybe I'll try to get Ben to take some pics...

Shoe Girl Had a Little L.A.M.B.

Today I'm wearing these LAMB shoes that I absolutely love and definitely don't wear enough. They're my idea of the perfect chocolate brown with just a little red in there. I'm not a brown shoe kinda gal- in fact, I think these might be my only pair.

Anyhow- they're that beautiful miracle that happens when a shoe is high and comfortable. They're also the perfect mix of girlie and rocker- like Ms. Steffani herself. You can never loose with a sweet mary jane with big chunky buckles.

You can find them at heels.com and love them as much as I do.

Dirty Hot!

So I know a lot of people are saying that leggings are on their way out (or in some people's opinions they've been out for a long ass time already) but I totally disagree- and frankly, don't care.

I just splurged on these Sass & Bide "black rat" leggings that I have been obsessed with since they showed up on their runway LAST YEARRRRR! They were actually out of my mind, and I had almost forgotten about them when I was blog hopping and saw them on Kingdom of Style.

Are these not to die for??? The countdown begins until I receive my rats!

Spring Preview...

A few websites are starting to show some Spring preview shoes. It's so weird to be sitting here with my heater on, thinking of Spring footwear.
I bought my first Spring shoe the other day at good old Christian Louboutin... A sweet little espadrille that looks SO cute on- it's stupid. I got them in black, but I'm thinking I should exchange them for the white, pictured here. What do you think??

And I just adore these cute shoes by Chloe! Don't you? They're adorable and perfect for the end of Fall, and a smooth transition into Spring. I love the color and the delicate little straps and buckles. Not to mention the fact that it's a wedge which means walkability! These would be cute with tights and then in warmer months, go bare!

Last but not least- another amazing transition shoe... these "OMG I EFFING WANT THESE MOTHER EFFING SHOES" amazing Nicholas Kirkwood beauties. I mean... seriously.
*drool*

They're on pre-order here. I love.
