Off to the Office...

First of all- I must thank poladroid cause I freaking love these polaroid looking pics! Woo hoo.

So I woke up this morning feeling extra sassy. I love this new top I got off Revolve by Hellz, which I stumbled upon on accident. Also, my new JBrands with zippers! Sass-ayyy.

I guess I've been feeling like I need to spread the love around lately. These shoes got a lot of press for being supposedly uncomfortable and impossible to walk in. They are neither. For whatever reason, they're really not that weird feeling when walking. Plus, I love the confused looks of people watching them walk by. ;)

I'm also really feeling this hot pink lipstick I got from Nars. I feel like an 80's barbie. Kiss kiss! My Fafi girl back there is totally trying to upstage me. Pshh.

Greetings Earthlings...

HELLO! From China!

I am over here working very diligently on my 4 shoe lines. It's as crazy as ever, but I'm having a pretty good time.
I think it's 'cause Jess and I started our trip off with a shopping trip to Hong Kong for 2 nights... AWESOME!

I didn't buy a lot, but I'm super happy with my 2 purchases. I got these awesome Melissa rubber tuxedo shoes and the Alexander McQueen scarf I should have bought at least 2 years ago cause they aren't that cool anymore. hahaha

I freaking love them so if you don't ... SHHHH.

...kidding. They're very Japanesey looking, don't you think? They're totally made of PVC (kinda like rubber but super soft and rad) and they're one piece. So awesome!!

I wore them walking around HK for a little bit (to and from dinner) and when my feet got a bit sweaty it was not so awesome, and if I put a little bounce in my step I'd fart fart fart along. True story.
Plus, these other language speaking men were (i think) talking shit on my new amazing glorious shoes in the elevator so I said "are you talking about my shoes? What, you don't like them?" to which they replied- "no"
So I did a little tap dance for them. Really, ask Jessie.

Awesome.

Yet another pair I need to wear again! These are so cute and they still smell like bubblegum! (Melissa adds bubblegum scent into all their plastic shoes. Amazing, I know)

The Name Ugg Sure Fits.

Ugg-ly. Yuck. Please stick to natural sheepskin and stay away from this nonsense. Snakeskin printed sheepskin?? No, no, no! Now women will be wearing these as a "dressier" versions of their normal ugg-ly shoes. Comfort brands like Ugg and Crocs need to STAY AWAY from their versions of fashion. It never works!!!!!!

Can you believe that since this original post they've come up with even more UGGly and UGGlier designs?? Gross.

My Argument for Pure Stupidity.

Ok, so I'm sure that when you see this Lanvin flat you're not like- OH! I have to have it! It's so different and special! But... I'm here to make an argument for it's case.

I'm not the kinda girl you'll see in a pair of flip flops unless I've just come from getting a pedi. In California, they're worn all year long, all over. Not just to the beach, but to dinner and even bars. I hate them and I think they look sloppy and very "un-shoe girl". Please don't get me wrong, I know many, if not most of you live in your flip flops. I'm just saying that they are not for me. My alternative? The simple black flat. Not just any flat, the softest most comfortable flat I've ever owned.

They are overpriced. I know this. It took me a few months to decide to go for them. I even bought them once and returned them thinking to myself, "I can't spend THAT on a plain ass leather flat!" But finally, I did. How much? Well, $530 from Barney's. Yea, yikes. But I honestly think they were a great buy. I wear them almost every day when I'm running around and I don't want to be in heels. They are super comfy and I love the hidden wedge in the back. It's a little 3/4" height boost ;) I love them so much that I think I'll get a second pair in a sexy nude color.

I still love these and wear them often. They look and feel even better after almost 2 years of wear :)

Time to Go Again...

(my office in China)

Well friends, it's that time again. I'm off to China tomorrow for a LONG two weeks. :(

You all know that Blogger is blocked in China so I won't be able to post, so I've decided to schedule re-posts of some of my old favorites that you may not have seen. If anything exciting happens while I'm there I'll see if I can email Ben a post and have him put it up for me. I'm sure I will because I'm going to Shanghai for the first time and meeting up with my friend and Louboutin boutique manager Amita Singh and her hubby!! YAY! I feel a shopping post coming!

I hate to go and even more, I hate not posting for 2 whole weeks (!!!) but please don't forget about me. ;)

See you all soon! And I'll still be able to Tweet so don't forget to follow me.
xoxo

Tricks and Treats

Ahhhh Halloween. My second favorite holiday (my first being Thanksgiving where I'm guiltlessly gluttonous)
I love dressing up and getting to be someone else for a night. Our friend has the best Halloween parties every year where our friends go all out and dress in amazing costumes. It's truly impressive and there's hardly a store-bought costume in sight. This year was no exception.

My two costumes this year were polar opposites. The first, my personal favorite, being a nerdy self conscious drummer from Aurora... better known as Garth Algar.

Benjamin was of course, the Wayne to my Garth

Yoda, our gracious host
Jesus himself... "We're not worthy! We're not worthy!"
Red Queen

And the White Rabbit
Matt and Christie Walker as a hot dog and hot dog vender. So cute :)
